What happens if the home does not appraise?
If the appraised value of the home does not meet the purchased price of the home you have options to work with as the buyer.

One of those options is the appraisal contingency. This contingency allows you to terminate the transaction if you so choose. That being said, if you still wanted to move forward with the purchase of the home despite a low appraisal there are more options we can look at to help make up the difference in price, allowing you to be confident in the purchase price of your home.
