The District Pooler in Pooler, GA is bringing some new that hasn’t been done in Pooler! No more gas stations, huge parking lots, traffic congestion, and oil changes. It will truly be a place to gather and enjoy even if you’re not shopping! But the developer needs to know, what would you like to see here? They want to hear all your thoughts!

Everyone's worried about the traffic on Pooler Parkway… so we went straight to the source. 🚦
I sat down with developer Rob Forrest about what's actually coming — and how it affects the road you're stuck on every day.
First off, it's not what you'd expect. No gas station. No car wash. No oil change. 🙅‍♂️
It's mixed-use — the kind of place where you park once, get out, and actually make a day of it. Walkable storefronts, open spaces, real gathering spots. People places, not car places. ☕🛍️
And the traffic plan? Rob broke it down:

✅ Cross access + multiple entry points to keep cars moving

✅ Dual turn lanes — including fixing that left turn that dead-ends and forces a U-turn

✅ Built alongside the Pine Barren intersection work + GDOT's upcoming interchange fix
The land's already zoned C2 commercial — the next step is coming out of the PUD so they can finally build something Pooler hasn't seen yet.
Pooler's growing fast. The question was never if — it's whether we build it right. 👀
