Meet Our New Neighbor… Station 8 🚒

Big things are happening right next door 👀

Goochland County Government is officially breaking ground on a brand new firehouse—Station 8—right here in the Sandy Hook area, and it’s a BIG deal for our community.

Here’s why 👇🏼

Goochland currently has 6 fire stations total, and until now, only ONE has been built by the county.

👉 This will be the SECOND county-built fire station—a huge step forward in investing in public safety.

Even more incredible?
This has been in the works since 1974 🤯

As Goochland continues to grow, so does the need for stronger emergency coverage—and Station 8 is a direct response to that.

✨ 24/7 staffed fire & rescue presence
✨ Combination of career + volunteer firefighters
✨ Increased coverage for the Sandy Hook area

AND here’s a bonus homeowners will love 👇🏼
🏡 Potential for lower homeowners insurance rates thanks to improved fire protection + response times

Doors are expected to open next spring 🌿

Safe to say… we’ve got some pretty amazing neighbors moving in ❤️
