This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Property Manager based in Petersburg, VA. The Assistant Property Manager will support daily property operations, including handling tenant inquiries, coordinating maintenance requests, processing lease agreements, and ensuring tenant satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include maintaining property records, managing budgets, and assisting with property marketing to attract potential tenants. The role requires frequent communication with property occupants, staff, and vendors to support operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Strong organizational and administrative skills, including managing schedules, records, and tenant documentation
Must have Tax Credit experience
Experience with property management processes such as lease agreements, budgeting, and overseeing maintenance tasks
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to address tenant inquiries and coordinate with staff and vendors effectively
Knowledge of property marketing strategies to promote rental properties and retain tenants
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
Proficiency in property management software or tools is preferred
Prior experience in property management, real estate, or a related industry is advantageous
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or related field is a plus
