After a late lunch , I went on a walk down Grace St when something made me stop in my tracks. The Carpenter Theatre, its ornate terra cotta details and sculpted limestone standing proudly against the Richmond sky.

Designed in 1928 by John Eberson, a master of theatrical architecture, the building is a stunning nod to Spanish Mission style, a blend of Old World grandeur and early 20th-century elegance. The deep red brick, intricate carvings, and arched windows feel like something out of another era—where silent films flickered on the screen and vaudeville acts took the stage.

Richmond has grown and changed through its history, but standing beneath the Carpenter’s facade, you can still feel its timeless magic. ✨

To say I’m excited for this one is such an understatement!! Congratulations to my client for signing their lease this month on their future business: a new cat cafe coming to the Fan!! 🐈 As a cat lover myself, I know that this is going to bring so much love and care to the RVA area. On a personal note, it brings me so much pleasure to help entrepreneur friends find the right spot for their businesses.
