Crabs donât sell real estate, but theyâll try to stop you đ§
Ever seen a bucket of crabs? You donât need a lid because the crabs will do all the work themselves, grabbing, pulling, making sure no one escapes.
Funny how that same thing happens in real estate.
The crab mentality shows up in ways you wouldnât expect. Itâs the coworker who downplays your wins. The peers who dismiss your big goals. The ones who donât try to grow, but will go out of their way to make sure you donât either. They wonât say it outright, but their actions make it clear: If Iâm stuck, you should be too.
This isnât just negativity, itâs a mindset. And if you let it, itâll keep you in the same place year after year.
So how do you get out? You focus on self-improvement. Set goals. Take action. Jealousy and resentment wonât close deals, discipline will. Growth will. Surrounding yourself with the right people will.
Some will try to pull you back the moment you start moving up. Let them. Just donât stop climbing.
