I shed some tears at yesterday’s closing and here’s what happened. We walked in the door for the final walkthrough and alongside the extensive documentation the sellers left my buyers, their adult daughter (who grew up in the home) had this framed poem commissioned and written for new owners’ little gals, Rose and Willow. Nothing warms my heart like hearing your life updates, seeing photos of your house projects and especially when I’m welcomed back into your cozy homes. Looking at houses is fun and all, but seeing how you make them yours is where the real magic is.

My year end buyer pop bys give me an opportunity to roll by {and if the timing is lucky, peek in} with a little treat. This year I snagged these adorable gingerbread cottage candles at the holiday market.
