Wow! What a weekend! Where do I even begin?

On Friday, we attended a benefit where Kham’s Klub, Inc. - Non-Profit for Autism raised an incredible $130,000 for children with autism. 👏🏼 John Lovern was honored to be invited to play music at the event and help give back to such an amazing cause and those beautiful kids.

Then on Sunday, we hosted a slow-pitch softball fundraiser at Lake Reba in Richmond for a new friend of ours. Softball has brought so many genuine relationships into our lives, and once again, it showed us just how special this community truly is.

About a month ago, we learned that River—a sweet pup who ALWAYS gets excited to see our dog, Sirius Black—had been diagnosed with a life-threatening tumor in her lung. 😞 We were heartbroken. At the time, we barely knew her owners, but as we got to know them and learned more about River’s condition, we knew we had to do something.

John and I immediately started brainstorming ways we could help. We decided to turn our Lovern League Home Team client event into a fundraiser for River. ♥️ Lovern League Home Team

And wow... this community SHOWED UP.

Not only did we reach our goal, we were absolutely blown away by the generosity of everyone involved. Concessions did amazing, people donated what they could—some gave $1, some gave hundreds—but every single penny mattered. Every donation made a difference.

Because of this community, River will receive her life-saving surgery, and her loving parents will get more precious time with their sweet girl. 🐶

What makes this even more special is that Sunday was also my birthday. My biggest wish was to help save someone’s fur baby, just like all of YOU helped save Sirius when he was shot. Watching everyone rally together to help River made that wish come true.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I was overwhelmed, humbled, cried more times than I can count 😆🥹, and somehow even got an ice cream cake too. 😭

Susan Maynard Hatfield is an amazing Lender but an even more amazing person. Her heart is so big and so kind to always help when I reach out with ideas! Everything she does, she does with her heart! Benchmark Mortgage Richmond, KY donated $500 for us to get our concessions and use EVERY PENNY for River 😭 Thank you SO much! We were able to raise over $2,000 in concessions ALONE!
