If you've spoken to me about buying a home, then you certainly know this term. I recommend that all of my buyers get a pre-approval letter prior to going out and seeing homes. The benefit being that when you walk into the home of your dreams, you'll already have a competitive edge against the rest. When you make an offer on a home, and you show them that pre-approval letter, you are giving the sellers some assurance that your lending process won't keep you from the closing table.

If you are thinking about buying - whether it be two weeks or two years from now - let's talk. The better prepared you are as a buyer, the more likely you'll wind up with keys to your dream home!

(Regarding rising interest rates on mortgages)……“ Some banks will let you take the money you owe on your line of credit and lock that into a fixed interest rate.
‘It's worth reaching out proactively to your lender about that,’ she says. ‘Think about it — this is something that is potentially saving you money. Your lender is maybe not, you know, sending you mailers and calling you up to let you know about this great option with your HELOC.”
