Much of the Richmond market is slow right now but not western Henrico just west of the city line. My client had to outbid five other buyers to get this lovely home.

Anticipating having to waive the inspection, I recommended we bring an inspector to our showing so that she would have some idea about the condition of the home before making an offer. While no home is perfect, this one got the okay from the inspector and his findings provided my client with confidence the other buyers may not have had.

What should you do first, buy the new home or sell the old one?

Well, it's a lot less stressful to buy the new home first, move into it, and then sell the old home. That way you can take your time finding the new home and you can sell your old home without trying to live in it through the inconvenience of showings and open houses. It's also much easier and a little cheaper to get your home ready to sell when it's empty.
