You’ve probably heard the saying “fall is for planting.” That means preparing beds for planting should start in the summer.

👉When you first prepare a garden bed you can resurface w**d seeds, so by preparing the bed now you have time to tackle new w**ds that appear before replanting in the fall.

👉If we amend your beds with compost, bio char, and/or arborist wood chips, applying them a few months in advance gives them a head start on breaking down and rebuilding the ecosystem of microorganisms in the soil.

Starting in the summer helps ensure you have healthier w**d-free garden beds come fall, which will in turn help grow healthier plants. Reach out today!
