Next Monday, May 5 at 7:00 PM, the Selectboard will review proposed zoning amendments to the Jolina Court (JC) district as submitted by the Planning Commission after 20 months of discussion.
JC district is almost entirely composed of the Creamery development, which we have owned since undertaking the expensive, complicated brownfield clean-up in 2014. The now clean environmentally responsible development is shovel ready, located in downtown and could significant new housing and economic opportunity in Richmond and Vermont. We sent the attached letter to the Selectboard today to explicitly share of disappointment with this proposal. We hope others in Richmond and in Vermont will participate in that community discussion. Please join us and advocate for meaningful housing solutions in Vermont. ππ‘
