I’ve been hearing this a lot lately:

“We’re just waiting for interest rates to come down.”

And I completely understand why. But here’s the part many buyers don’t realize — when rates drop, buyers who were waiting usually jump back into the market at the same time. That often means more competition, bidding wars, and higher home prices.

Sometimes the better strategy is locking in a home and a monthly payment you’re comfortable with now, building equity while you own, and refinancing later if rates improve.

Every situation is different, which is why I always tell people: don’t follow internet opinions — look at your numbers and goals.
