📢 Important Update for Our Residents & Property Owners

By now you may have heard that HUD issued a policy memo on May 22nd that changes how Emotional Support Animal (ESA) complaints are handled at the federal level. We want you to know that we are watching this closely.

Here's where things stand:

✅ The federal enforcement landscape has shifted, but the Fair Housing Act itself has not changed.
🐻 California's FEHA still fully protects ESA tenants, exactly as it always has.
⏳ HUD has signaled further rulemaking is coming, but has not yet issued formal guidance.

Because of that, Wellspring Property Management will not be making any policy changes at this time. We believe in doing this right, and that means waiting for clear, formal direction from HUD before taking any action that could affect our residents or property owners.

Our honest take? We expect this area of law to evolve, possibly multiple times and quickly. We'll be staying on top of every update so you don't have to.
