Buying or selling a home is one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make and having the right guide matters.

Working with a local realtor isn’t just convenient, it’s strategic. A local expert understands neighborhood trends, pricing nuances, school districts, and those hidden gems you won’t find in a quick online search. They know what homes are really worth, how to position your offer (or listing), and how to navigate the unique dynamics of your community.

And let’s not overlook something simple but powerful…you’ll actually meet your realtor in person. That face-to-face connection builds trust, improves communication, and ensures you have someone by your side for showings, negotiations, and every step in between.

Beyond market knowledge, local realtors bring trusted relationships with inspectors, LENDERS, and contractors helping everything move more smoothly and cost efficiently.

In a market where timing, insight, and connections can make all the difference, going local isn’t just a choice, it’s an advantage.

Plain and simple I might not be a Realtor, but I know the value of working with someone local 😊

🌿 KEEPING WEEDS DOWN

Protects More Than Just Appearances

By: Ridgecrest Area Association of Realtors
In partnership with The City of Ridgecrest

🚨 Why It Matters
Across our community, vacant lots and overgrown yards are becoming a common sight. While it may seem like just an eyesore, unmanaged w**ds and dry brush can quickly turn into a serious public safety issue.

⚠️ The Risks of Overgrown Properties
• 🔥 Fire Hazard – Dry vegetation can ignite easily, especially in arid climates
• 🐀 Pest Infestation – Tall w**ds attract rodents and insects
• 🚶 Safety Concerns – Blocked visibility on sidewalks and streets
• 🏡 Lower Property Values – Impacts the entire neighborhood

📜 What the Law Says
City ordinances set limits on w**d height and property conditions.
If your property is not maintained:
1. You may receive a notice to correct the issue
2. Failure to comply can lead to citations and fines
3. In extreme cases, the city may remove w**ds and bill you

✅ The Good News: Prevention Is Simple
Regular maintenance can save time, money, and stress:
• ✔️ Mow and trim regularly
• ✔️ Clear fence lines
• ✔️ Remove dead brush
• ✔️ Maintain vacant lots several times per year
💡 Out-of-town owner? Hiring a local service is often cheaper than fines.

🤝 It’s About Responsibility, Not Punishment
W**d control helps:
• Protect homes and neighborhoods
• Maintain property values
• Support insurance compliance
• Keep Ridgecrest safe and welcoming

🌟 Do Your Part
When property owners stay proactive, enforcement becomes about cooperation—not citations.

Together, we can keep Ridgecrest clean, safe, and thriving.

California doesn’t just have a housing affordability crisis.

We have a homeownership crisis.

This week, C.A.R. is bringing the leading gubernatorial candidates together for a direct conversation about their vision for the future of homeownership in California.

Because housing cannot just be about units.

It’s about putting down roots. Generational wealth. Owning your future.
