What is GOOD about higher interest rates. . .

- Compared to the feeding frenzy of Covid era real estate, those looking to purchase a home NOW have more to choose from. The inventory is still low, but it has been increasing.

-There are SO many buyers waiting for that rate drop. . .some have been waiting for YEARS to jump in (yes, you know who you are ). The thing is, if you wait for the rates to come down . . and you know they will. . .you will be competing against ALL the other people who have also been waiting.

-Food for thought, those selling are MOVING for a reason! They most likely have to sell. So why not try and work with the seller to negotiate help with buying down your rate. Buyers and sellers can work together.

-If you are in the market to buy, think about talking to your realtor about how to negotiate on the rate. That way you are getting a home now, with more inventory, and will not be COMPETING with ALL the other buyers waiting for the rate to come down.

MY ADVICE:
Act now, negotiate the rate down with help from a good realtor and loan officer (*I know a few). . . and refinance later.

Then, when rates drop, you can watch the craziness of the market from the comfort of your new living room.
