When Ms. Rucker reached out to me, it was because another client told her, “If it can be done, Velicia can do it.”
And listen, I thank God for that kind of name. Not a perfect name. A proven name. A name built from praying, pushing, fighting, calling, emailing, showing up, and refusing to let my clients feel like they are standing alone.
This transaction turnt me every which way but loose.
One minute the file was approved. The next minute it was suspended on the very day she was supposed to move out of her other home.

I had to help find movers. I had to track down a death certificate from 26 years ago, from a state over 2,000 miles away.
And yes, I cried real tears over this one‼ Because this was not just paperwork to me.

When I first talked to Ms. Rucker, she said, “Nothing good ever happens to me.”
I told her, “You must not know my God.” Because sometimes God will let the road get long, the process get uncomfortable, and the wait get heavy, just so when the door finally opens, nobody can take the credit but Him.

There were moments she wanted to give up.
There were moments I questioned it too.
But I heard her story. I saw her heart. I knew what was possible. So I told her, “Trust me.” And she did.
Thousands of emails. Hundreds of calls. Prayers on top of prayers. Calling on the elders of the church and everybody with a direct line to heaven. Cause LISTENNNN.......
And now, Ms. Rucker can finally move her china cabinets, her cats, and her whole heart into a place she gets to call home.
This one stretched me but it also reminded me why I do what I do.☺
Homeownership is not always cute contracts and closing photos. Sometimes it is war in the spirit, pressure in the process, and faith when the facts look funny.
But God.

To anybody reading this who feels like homeownership is too far gone, too complicated, or too late for you, let me say this clearly.
You do not need perfect credit, perfect timing, or a perfect situation.You need the right plan, the right advocate, and enough faith to start.🥰
