01/24/2026
For my first closing of 2026, I'm happy to say that this is one of my most memorable experiences. I love and appreciate ALL of my clients. However, I must give a special shoutout to this buyer-client. (You know who you are.)
This buyer came to me with laser focus. She knew what she needed. She knew what she wanted; and at the same time, she remained open to my expertise, wisdom and guidance throughout the entire process. She trusted me - and for that, I'm honored and appreciative.
Forty-seven (47) days was the entire span of her process from the first day she reached out to me until closing - and she was not yet pre-approved for a home loan. So, this timeframe included her reaching out to lenders, getting pre-approved, and looking at homes, along with all the other standard milestones this process requires.
This process was not easy for her, as it had its nerve-wracking moments, but she stayed the course and continued to invite God on her journey with her, as did I. By the end, she received multiple unexpected blessings. For the part I played in her reaching a successful closing, I give God ALL the glory.
I must acknowledge the other team players, including Cenaca Cyprian and her team with Quality Lending Group, LLC who met the original closing deadline and got us closed in 34 days from the date of the contract. Thank you for serving with excellence! Also, Elliott Closings, LLC in Madison, MS was a pleasure to work with!
Although some may see the "other side" as the opposing party, they're actually team players as well. Thank you, Alese Jones of Nix-Tann & Associates, for your pleasant attitude and communication.
Every story will look different, and every story is special. However long your process takes, embrace it with intentionality, diligence and courage. Your finances may not yet be ready - that's OK. Get them ready. Don't give up. You have a story to share that will encourage someone else while on their homebuying journey.
