🌿 From Burnout to Biblical Balance

There was a season in my life where everything looked successful — the business was thriving, clients were coming, and my name was being mentioned in rooms I once prayed to enter.
But behind the scenes, I was burnt out, overwhelmed, and overworked. What was supposed to be a blessing had quietly become a burden.
God checked me.
He said, “Theresa, you’re building, but you’re building out of self — not out of Spirit.”
See, I was operating out of hustle instead of hearing. Out of performance instead of prayer. Out of pressure instead of peace.
Then everything stopped the moment my brother passed suddenly at just 42 years old — in the middle of taking a shower. That loss shook me to my core. It reminded me that life is like a v***r. In that moment, I realized I had been chasing success but losing myself.
My physical health declined. My mental state started to unravel. But even in that place, God was faithful to whisper:
👉 “You started seeking the things instead of Me.”
So I shifted.
I went back to the foundation — prayer, the Word, and Kingdom principles. I started running my business from a place of peace, not pressure; purpose, not performance.
Now I understand that true success isn’t measured by what’s seen — but by what’s sustained.
Real success looks like peace that passes understanding.
Joy that doesn’t require performance.
Prosperity that doesn’t come with toil.
Today, my definition of success has changed:
💛 Peace over pressure
💛 Presence over performance
💛 Purpose over popularity
To every woman in business or ministry — God doesn’t just want you to thrive publicly; He wants you to be whole privately.
Because success without surrender will always lead to burnout.

Can’t Let This Last Friday in May Pass Without Saying… Thank You, Lord.

Today, I pause with a full heart to say: I am grateful and blessed to celebrate 20 years in the real estate industry.

Real estate wasn’t even on my radar. I was an accountant, focused on numbers and spreadsheets—until one phone call changed everything. My father called and said, “I’m building houses. You need to get your license.” I listened, I stepped out, and I’ve never looked back.

I always knew I wanted to own a business and serve people—though I assumed it would be through accounting. But God had other plans. What started as a career became a calling.

Has it been easy? Not at all. But it has been worth it.

This journey has been about far more than placing “SOLD” signs in front yards. It’s been about helping families make their greatest investment. It’s been about guiding others to build wealth, legacy, and security—one home at a time. That fulfillment is priceless.

I remember working for the government, stuck with no pay increase. In June 1997, I took a leap of faith and quit my job. God gave me a promise: what I used to make in a year, I would one day make in a single day. And He fulfilled that promise.

Through the heartbreak of losing my mother and brother, failing the real estate exam, getting fired, and enduring physical and mental health battles, I’ve learned this truth: God is faithful.

Even through it all, every single year I’ve been in this industry—20 years—I’ve been a multi-million dollar producer.

God didn’t stop there. He expanded my territory:
• Real estate investor
• Super Airbnb host
• Real estate broker
• Landlord
• Mentor & marketplace minister

He’s revealed gifts in me I didn’t even know I had. And the people I’ve met along the way? They’ve become family. From my clients and colleagues to my Friday Realty agents and vendor partners—I thank God for each of you. I love you 💜

As I prayed for what’s next, God gave me the vision:
Kingdom Impact.

That’s my focus moving forward—building wealth through homeownership, real estate investing, and financial freedom rooted in faith.

Clearing my throat: I didn't get my brokerage license to increase rental properties. I got it to help people own homes and create generational wealth. 🎉 Happy Friday! 🎉

Today, I'm celebrating 19 years in the real estate industry! Over the next few days, I'll be sharing some milestones from my journey.

Real estate wasn't always on my radar. My dream was to own my own accounting firm. But a call from my dad changed everything. He encouraged me to get my real estate license so we could build and sell homes together. Though he stopped building, I continued selling and fell in love with it. Helping people create wealth through homeownership has given me a profound sense of purpose.

My dad, also my mentor, always believed in me and my name. He said, "Everything good happens on Friday," and that became my first free commercial. 😂🤣

I'm grateful for his guidance and the incredible journey this has been. Here's to many more years of helping others achieve their real estate dreams! 🏡✨
