From Ramapo College, Keith joined National Discount Brokers, which later became TD Ameritrade, as an investment consultant. After several years, he left Wall Street to become a professional firefighter. Keith graduated from the renowned Bergen County Fire Academy in Mahwah and has served on the Hackensack Fire Department for the past 20 years, where he was promoted to Captain in 2014. He’s also served on the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department for 23 years, including the past 3 years as the department’s Chief. Keith and his wife Aja, a Ho-Ho-Kus elementary school teacher, have two kids: a son who’s six and a daughter who’s eight. When he’s not working or with his family, Keith volunteers for fundraising efforts benefiting Autism Awareness, The Muscular Dystrophy Association and Ho-Ho-Kus Boy Scout Troop 54, where he attained Eagle Scout as a teen. His primary philanthropic passion, though, is Homes For Our Troops, which builds custom homes specially adapted for severely injured post-9/11 veterans.
