Smallest Church in America-Christ's Chapel in Memory Park is located in Darien, GA. This little sanctuary has become a stop for thousands as a place of meditation and rest for weary travelers. The church was constructed in 1949, and represented a dream come true for Mrs. Anges Harper, a local grocer. Although small, the structure is full of character and beauty with stained glass windows imported from England. Local ministers still lead non-denominational worship there every third Sunday and the church is very popular and remains one of the most unique structures along the Georgia Coast Scenic Byway.

Tybee Island, GA is a barrier island and small city near Savannah. It’s known for its wide, sandy beaches, including South Beach, with a pier and pavilion.
Tybee Island is ideal spots for fossil hunting. This is due to the constant dredging of the Savannah River, which is done multiple times per month. The dredged items are taken away and are deposited on spoil islands along the river. Hunting for fossils is recommended during low tide, when you can see them better along the sand and in shallow water.
You can expect to find fossilized teeth from 8-10 shark species like the Megalodon, Mako, Tiger, and Hammerhead. You can find fossilized whale or stingray bones.

Down on the southern tip of Port Royal SC, is this wonderful area where Battery Creek flows into the Beaufort River. From the sandy beaches you can get some great views of the river and of the estuaries and look for sharks teeth. A ramp here lets you launch boats and kayaks onto the rivers. The Henry Robinson Boardwalk runs along Battery Creek, and is a popular place for strolling and for crabbing or fishing. Near the end of the boardwalk is a large observation tower. You can see for miles around from the upper levels of the tower.
