One of the biggest mistakes I see buyers make is starting the home search before talking to a lender.

Looking at homes is the exciting part.

But having a conversation with a lender early on can help you:

• Understand your true budget
• Explore loan options you may not know exist
• Avoid surprises with credit or debt
• Strengthen your position when you’re ready to make an offer
• Feel more confident throughout the process
And one of the biggest misconceptions?

Many buyers still think they need 20% down to purchase a home.

In reality, there are often more options available than people realize.

A quick conversation upfront can save a lot of stress later.
