The Fed dropped rates by 50 basis points this week. The interest rate for the 30 year fixed loan is at or below 6% down from above 8% just last year. Hopefully this will spur activity on both sides of the buy/sell equation. As a;ways, I am available to answer any of your real estate questions. Have a great weekend!

Felt great to be able to assist my long time client Eric with the sale of his condo in Forest Park. We had some bumps in the road as the village is making every condo owner in this building replace and upgrade the electrical panel from inside the guest closet and move it so it is more readily accessible. Also, due to the age of the wiring, they required all of the wiring be replaced from the unit to the main electrical panel 126 feet down the hallway. Shout out to Bill Riordan at Riordan Electric as he was the only one of four electricians I called that was willing to do the work in a timely fashion, keeping this transaction alive. I also needed to coordinate with a handyman and a drywall specialist to make it all look brand new.
