Caption detail below! 👇 We like to take day trip dates so a few weeks ago we went did a little trip (Getty Center and Warner Bros Studio Tour) Caption explanation on each photo!
1. Getty - great place to spend the day if you like to appreciate art at all levels. Grab breakfast here and spend the day exploring the gardens and different halls.
2. This is the main garden area at the Getty. Super chill to sit under a tree and relax.
3. Warner Bros tour. In the main lobby, they have many costumes and the little barbie car on display. Adriana loved the box! Lol
4. Not gonna lie… I thought these 90s vibe neon colored costumes from the movie were eye catching. Maybe I wear a similar outfit for my next open house? Nah.
5. During the tour, you get to get off the tram and walk around the lot and see the sets. Apparently, the water tower had the pink Barbie colored WB logo to celebrate some billion dollar mark the movie hit. 🤷♂️
6. Adriana loves Gilmore Girls, and this gazebo main plaza area came out a lot in that 90s show. Gotta admit, the quick whit and writing for that show was on point!
7. Inside of Luke’s Diner from Gilmore Girls. The top is where all the lighting guys etc are at. Interestingly enough, none of the sets actually have electricity so everything has to run off generators when shooting any show or a movie.
8. This is the largest sound stage in the world. 238’ long 135’ wide and almost 7 stories tall. They filmed the famous T-Rex scene from Jurassic Park here along with my personal favorite… the pirate ship scene from Goonies here where they find one-eyed Willy’s stash! If you haven’t seen it, gotta watch it. 🏴☠️
9. Yep, all the DC character costumes were here. I’d have to say Batman is my fav of that crew. What’s yours?
10. If you get a chance to go visit for a drink, or eat at their restaurant, go check out Hotel Perla in Downtown LA. It was the Bank of Italy in the 1920s. Such a cool place to visit.
That’s it! We started the day at the Getty the hit the WB tour around 3 and capped the night at Perla! Fun day trip! Try it out!
