I couldn’t be happier for my buyers! After four very long years of waiting for the right time to buy, they found the perfect home for them! As the market has been picking up, there was a ton of interest on this home. We lost out originally, but because we stayed in contact with the Listing Agent, the Sellers came back to us when the original buyer didn’t perform. This home had been impeccably taken care of by its original owners and will be a wonderful place for my clients to call home.

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated my recent transactions on social media. The sweetest lady and her husband are so happy to have their new home. This transaction definitely had its crazy moments, (don’t they all), but it all came to fruition and the buyers are so very thankful to have their new home!

“HOUSE PRICES WILL NOT BE GOING DOWN”
Experts forecast home prices are going to rise this year. 📈

You might have known that already, but one in every four people still think that prices are going to go down over the next 12 months.

The blue bar on the left means, on average, experts think home prices will go up over 2% by the end of this year – not down.

Prices aren’t likely to depreciate in 2024 because inventory is still tight and lower mortgage rates are leading to strong buyer demand. Those two factors will keep pushing prices up as the year goes on. As Selma Hepp, Chief Economist at CoreLogic, explains:
“With mortgage rates dropping, demand for homes in early 2024 is likely to be strong and will again put pressure on prices, similar to trends observed in early 2023 . . . Most markets will continue to reach new home price highs over the course of 2024.”

Throwback Thursday! One of my favorite transactions (I have quite a few), was helping my buyers find their California dream home.

My clients were referred to me by when they were relocating from VA ➡️ CA.

Every morning for three days (I think) I’d pick them up at their hotel and we’d set off to go look at houses. I remember being so nervous - we were going to be stuck in a car together for many hours each day - it could have been really bad 🤣😬😳

We ended up hitting it off great. We saw many houses and lost out on a home, but on the afternoon of their last day, we found the PERFECT home for their family listed by .robin - I still can’t get over that view 🤩 . They saw the home for a total of 20 minutes (maybe) and then they flew home to the east coast .

Home inspections were done with me at the property and my buyers virtually while they were in VA.

I’m thankful to say it all turned out very well and we have become good friends. They’ve attended my client appreciation events and we’ve been lucky enough to visit a winery together in their new hometown.

I’m thankful for clients that turn into friends, especially after being stuck with me for 3 days. 😂
