Written by a family member of Halo’s deceased human. She saw that Halo ended up at the shelter and wanted to explain her situation. She wanted to help Halo find HER Person!!
Meet Halo 🤍
Halo was born around late June–July of 2020 and grew up surrounded by a big, loving family—6 children and 8 grandchildren, all ages. She had 10 acres to run, explore, and call her own. She was smart enough to open the door and let herself outside (we just never convinced her to shut it behind her 😊). She lived freely—inside when she wanted, outside when she pleased—completely at home.
But what truly defined Halo wasn’t the space she had… it was the person she loved.
She was deeply devoted to her owner. Protective in the gentlest way—never aggressive, never loud—just quietly watchful. Always making sure her person was safe. Always present. Always loyal.
In 2024, Halo lost her person.
And with that loss… her whole world changed.
The security she knew, the love she depended on, the routine that grounded her—gone. She found herself in a new environment, surrounded by unfamiliar people and animals, trying to adjust to a life she didn’t understand or choose.
Through it all, Halo has held onto what she knows best: love.
She’s not just looking for a home… she’s longing for her person again. Someone she can bond with, protect, and walk beside through life. Someone who will give her the stability and comfort she once had.
Halo will give back tenfold—loyalty, companionship, quiet protection, and a love that only a dog who has truly known loss can offer.
