Last Wednesday was Family Day at Edinburgh Square. There were games, food trucks, temporary tattoos, and lots and lots of dancing! ❤️

Our residents were troopers through a 12+ hour power outage today.

We had a hotdog cookout for lunch (previously posted), and pizzas for dinner (thus the poor lighting in the pics below).

It was hot.
It was exhausting.
It was WAY longer than APCO said it would be.
And yet, they made the best of the situation all day.

You should’ve heard the cheers when the power came back on!
We’re sure everyone will get some much needed rest tonight. Thank you Edinburgh residents for being awesome today!

Play chicken foot dominos.
Read.
Make some new friends.
Play games on your phone.

We’re so proud of our residents! They check in and care for each other so well when we have situations like this. ❤️

The weather held out and the rain stayed away!

Kudos to our fabulous staff who are always “all hands on deck” for this annual event! And especially to our Service Coordinator, Sam Akers, who put together a great time for everyone involved!

Today was our annual Wholly Healthy Fair. We had vendors, food trucks, music, and lots and lots of dancing and shenanigans!!
Mary said it was a Whoooooole lot of fun!

Edinburgh Square had a PJ Party and Breakfast for Lunch social the last week of April. Our maintenance team cooked gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs, and sausage patties, and residents also had muffins and grits.

Everyone was comfy and STUFFED!!

Wednesday we celebrated You Are Special Day with our residents and staff.

We had a cake and ice-cream social, an interactive get-to-know-your-neighbor game, and residents all received a gift (campfire mugs and gourmet hot chocolate).

Our residents ARE special! And we enjoyed letting them know that. 💜

Come see us at the Vinton Senior Fair today from 10-2! We’re at William Byrd Middle School.

There will be dancing, food trucks, giveaways, and info on services. Admission is FREE!

Throwback to when our fabulous residents made cat toys for a feline sanctuary for cats with significant illnesses. ❤️

So one of our customers gave the information about my FIV Sanctuary to Debra Ferrell, and she came by Fret Mill on Friday to deliver cat toys for my babies that were handmade by the Edinburgh Square Retirement Community. How amazing and purrfect!!
