It’s almost 2026, and if one of your New Year’s resolutions is to focus on fitness, Parks and Recreation has several opportunities to get your Fit Fix in 2026.

Beginning January 6, Parks and Rec will be hosting a new fitness class at the Administration Building at Greenfield. The class will run as an eight-week series through February 24 and will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., making it accessible for folks heading out at the end of the workday.

This beginner-friendly class will offer a little bit of everything and is designed to help participants ease into a healthier routine for the new year. Best of all, the class is completely FREE and open to the public, so anyone is welcome to attend.

If there is enough interest and participation, it’s possible the class could continue beyond the initial eight weeks.

Please join us at the Bedford Central Library next Saturday, December 13th, for our annual Christmas Spectacular! We have a whole lineup of fun planned for the whole family...

- Breakfast Just Got a Little More Jolly! Come eat pancakes and more in the Bedford Room with Santa from 10 AM to 12 PM!

- Join us as we ring in the Season! The Brightwell Bells handbell choir from Main Street United Methodist Church will be performing holiday tunes in the main library area at 10:30 AM.

- Hot Chocolate, Cookies, Crafts, and Christmas Magic! Join us as we sit down and enjoy the beloved stop-motion special, Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, in the Bedford Room at 12:30.

- Adults are invited to escape the holiday hustle and join us for a fun, casual afternoon of Christmas BINGO with fantastic prizes upstairs in the Tharp Room from 1: 00 PM to 3:00 PM.

- A Little Light, A Lot of Cheer: Paint Your Personalized Holiday Glow! Adults and teens are invited to join us in the STEM Lab to paint a snowman or Santa tea light holder from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We'll also have a festive scavenger hunt set up in the Wharton Garden outside, and more crafts set up in the Main Library area.
