Job Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance skills in the trades of HVAC, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and carpentry in a professional manner with 100% resident and supervisor satisfaction for the apartment property.
* Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and that the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
* Perform maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs to ensure that the building is properly maintained.
* Perform general maintenance skills as assigned.
* Complete required paperwork daily.
* Communicate with all relevant supervisors.
* Use the phone and maintain public relations.
* Use a private vehicle.
* Use your own necessary tools.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with a half hour provided for lunch; hours may vary depending on the workload. Weekend hours are possible as weather demands.
Travel/Driving
You may need to use your personal transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors. Rotation 'on-call' status may occasionally require expedient travel to an assigned property at a moment's notice. You will also make pickups and deliveries to the office. You must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance coverage.
