They are Just was always something about Wopsee…now you know…👻👰♀️
🌙 High above Altoona, the winding road up Wopsononock Mountain, known to locals simply as Wopsy, carries one of the most enduring ghost legends in central Pennsylvania. For generations, drivers have whispered about the White Lady said to appear along its foggy curves.
As the story goes, a young bride was killed in a tragic car accident on the mountain road not long after her wedding, and her spirit is said to wander the area still, sometimes appearing as a woman in white searching the misty roadside. Some versions say she is looking for her lost love, others that she simply drifts through the fog that so often blankets the mountain. Like all the best local legends, the tale has been told and retold around campfires and on late-night drives for decades, growing a little eerier with each generation.
Mountain fog and a winding road are the perfect ingredients for a ghost story. Have you ever heard the legend of the Wopsy White Lady?
