**SUNDAY STORIES | BEHIND THE BRAND**
There’s the professional version of my story.
And then there’s the real one.
The real one includes divorce. Bankruptcy. Being a single mom. Losing a home through a short sale. Having a car repossessed. Starting over more than once. Moving to Alabama knowing only one person and having absolutely no idea what the next chapter would look like.
Those aren’t necessarily the things you put on a résumé.
But looking back, they may be some of the most important qualifications I have.
Because when someone sits across from me and says…
“I’m embarrassed about my credit.”
“I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to buy a house.”
“I’m going through a divorce and don’t know what to do with the house.”
“I’m behind and scared I’m going to lose everything.”
“I just need to start over.”
…I don't have to imagine what fear, uncertainty or starting over feels like.
I've lived some version of it.
My life hasn't been a perfectly straight road from Point A to Point B. There have been detours, potholes, wrong turns and a few times I probably should've stopped and asked for directions. 😂
But every chapter taught me something.
I learned that your financial situation doesn't define your worth.
I learned that sometimes letting go isn't failure.
I learned that asking for help takes courage.
And most importantly, I learned that a difficult season is exactly that—a **season**. It doesn't have to become your entire story.
That's a big part of why I do what I do today.
Yes, I'm a Realtor. Yes, I negotiate contracts, market homes and help people buy and sell property.
But underneath all of that, I'm someone who genuinely loves helping people figure out what comes next.
Especially when "what comes next" feels impossible.
So on Sundays, I'm going to share a little more of the person behind the signs, listings, closings and social media posts.
The wins.
The mistakes.
The lessons.
The rebuilding.
The family.
The businesses.
And probably a few stories that make me wonder, "Am I really putting this on Facebook?" 😂
Because life isn't polished.
Neither is my story.
And I have a feeling that's exactly why it's worth sharing.
