Throwback Thursday to highlight our work done at the American Red Cross located in Henrietta, NY. The project was completed in 1999 and was built by the Nichols Team. This facility houses state of the art blood manufacturing, laboratories, office spaces and an administrative center that promotes the organizations commitment to humanitarian efforts.

We were thrilled to be able to work on this new play and art therapy space for an existing mental health counseling center. The overall concept was to create a story book oasis. Gym wall padding was used to create an abstract landscape and provide protection for children running around while using the space. Trees at the existing columns where brought to life using acoustic felt panels which also helps with noise. The art therapy hut includes a banquet for reflection after a session. Thank you to Nichols Construction Team for bringing our vision to life and CW Engineering for providing all the MEP and fire protection design.
