This project has the necessary approvals for moving forward with construction of the apartments after a small amount of contaminated soil is remediated. Conventional approach of excavating and hauling it to a safe disposal site appears to be bogged down in complex federal and NY state regulations for the contaminant. After expenditure of hundreds of thousand dollars in testing and environmental compliance, it is now clear that on-site treatment with nature based Myco-remediation is the best option and affordable for this project. we plan to seek this change in remediation approach from the regulatory agencies. Wish us Good Luck to gain this approval.
