City crews are working around the clock after more than a foot of snow and ongoing blizzard conditions. Travel is still difficult; please avoid driving unless necessary.

Most residential areas have only received one plow pass so far, and cleanup will take time. The Blizzard Warning remains in effect until 7 a.m.

Downtown streets are down to one lane each way due to large windrows. Cleanup begins tonight, and parking restrictions (midnight–8 a.m.) will stay in place until snow is removed and signs come down.

Salt is not very effective in the current cold and wind, so expect slick conditions.

65 Street NW remains closed from Freedom Ave NW to 60 Avenue NW.
