To everyone in the Sauk Valley area, it has been brought to our attention that we have a 'mover' in our area that is conducting moves illegally.

I want to inform people that if you hire a moving company in Illinois, that company is required to have an Illinois Commerce Commission number. Our number is 234615. If you're getting a quote from anyone and they cannot provide that number, then you know they aren't legitimate.

Simply having general liability insurance and an LLC is not enough; it's state law to have a household moving license.

Also, consider that if you hire a company without an ILCC number and they damage your items, they can essentially leave without any consequences whatsoever. That's why it's very important to hire a legitimate moving company like ours that abides by all Illinois moving laws and regulations to protect the customer.

Well today is a true Monday!

I went to the dump and blew out a brand new tire, thankfully Junk It Sauk Valley was there to lend a helping hand! We weren’t able to fix it but Andrew and his son are great people so if you ever need junk removal please call these guys!

Yes, we do junk removal as well but they are the true pros at it. They deserve all of the business they can handle. I can’t say enough good things about them!

On the bright side, I’ve never changed a tire before so I learned something new.

Hello everyone!

Being in the Sauk Valley area, I have noticed that we have a TON of outdoor storage units but we lack indoor/climate controlled storage.

These storage crates are the same ones that the big van line moving companies use and we are curious if anyone would be interested in renting them from us?

Here’s the Pros of why these crates are a great option:

1. Completely secured

2. Climate controlled

3. We inspect all furniture that comes in therefore there’s no chance of getting roaches or bedbugs from neighboring units

4. Our facility would not be 24 hours so there’s zero chances of your lock being cut and your unit being stolen from

5. ZERO chance of mold/mildew

Over the years of moving furniture I cannot count how many times I have seen customers open their storage unit and break down in tears because their furniture is ruined due to mold damage, mice damage, and other bug infestations.

I want to be very clear, Eric’s Moving Services is NOT offering indoor storage at all right now but we are seeing if there’s any public interest to help us justify investing in a new building to start doing indoor storage.
