We could have built six identical cabins and called it a day, that would have been the easy route.

But Emily has an incredible vision for every single corner of these spaces.

She poured her heart into every design detail, and seeing the look on our guests' faces when they walk in makes all that extra effort worth it.

The Box Hop didn’t start with a big corporate plan. It started with a family, a massive risk, and three shipping containers sitting in the middle of the woods. 

In 2018, we put everything on the line to see if we could turn industrial steel into a sanctuary. Seth spent his days welding and his nights dreaming, while Emily designed every inch of a space that didn’t even exist yet. 

It’s the proof that if you have enough heart and a lot of coffee, you can build a legacy from the ground up.

You have probably seen the videos. The videos are great. But there is something about actually walking through the Hops that videos can’t capture.

Emily has a zoology degree. Seth spent a decade making candy bars at Mars. Neither of them had ever built anything when they drew up the first Box Hop on a piece of paper. That was 2018. Six properties later, here we are. Hocking Hills, Ohio. Built by a family who had no business doing this and did it anyway.
