New Blog: Run Your Own Race 🏡

Sometimes you have to believe in what you're building long before anyone else can see it.

In our newest blog, Sean shares the story behind the walnut beams in our latest mid-century modern build — and how those beams became a reminder of something much bigger than building a house.

After more than 30 years of building, remodeling, investing, taking risks, making mistakes, building wealth, and learning along the way, he reflects on what success really means to him at 49.

It’s a story about staying in your own lane, taking the next step, building something that matters, and learning to measure success on your own terms.

And maybe most importantly, it’s about what he hopes to pass along to our two sons as they begin building lives of their own.

You don't need everyone else to see what you're building while you're building it.

A custom home builder reflects on installing walnut beams in a spec house—and the deeper lesson learned over 30 years: stop comparing, keep taking the next step, and define success on your own terms.

Another detail coming together at our Ada Mid-Century Modern! 🏡✨

This past week, we poured the front entry step and concrete pads, and we love how they turned out! The clean, modern design was specifically created to complement the architecture of the home and add to that sleek mid-century feel.

A huge THANK YOU to Dykstra Cement Contractors, Inc. for bringing this detail to life! 👏🏼 Their attention to detail and craftsmanship really shows, and these steps are going to make the perfect first impression when you walk up to this home.

We’re getting closer and closer to the finish line, and this showstopper is really starting to come together! 🔨✨

✨ Our Ada Mid-Century Modern Home is coming together beautifully! ✨

We’re officially in the final weeks, and we’re getting VERY excited to finally showcase this showstopper. 🏡

The exterior is complete, and the details are 🔥 — beautiful limestone, white oak, metal siding, and a stunning glass breezeway that really makes this home stand out.

Inside, the painters and tile crews are putting the finishing touches on, and it’s starting to look like the vision we’ve had from day one. 🤍

We can’t wait to share the finished home with you!

And for our realtor friends… stay tuned! 👀 We’ll be announcing details soon for a special Broker Open House featuring lenders, refreshments, and FREE professional headshots! 📸🥂

Trust us — you’re going to want to see this one in person!

From the studs to WOW. 🤯🏡

This one was a MASSIVE transformation.

We took this home all the way down to the studs and rebuilt the interior from the ground up — completely reimagining the space and bringing it into the modern era.

✨ Entire interior gutted to the studs
✨ New modern finishes throughout
✨ Updated electrical, plumbing & mechanicals
✨ Completely redesigned spaces
✨ New kitchen & bathrooms
✨ Updated flooring, lighting, trim & paint
✨ Modern touches everywhere you look

This wasn’t a “little facelift.” This was a full-on transformation — and the finished product is almost unrecognizable from where we started.

There’s something pretty satisfying about taking a dated home, seeing the potential underneath it all, and bringing that vision to life.

Another DenHerder Homes transformation in the books. 🔨❤️
