Days like today are exactly why I love what I do.

Today I had the joy of closing with a first-time home buyer after a very strategic house hunt filled with lots of showings, careful decision making, and plenty of memorable moments along the way. She was such a trooper through the process — touring everything from “this could work” to some truly questionable options 😂 (which earned a spot in her hilarious “Things I Saw on My House Hunt” photo album she shared with me in a collage!).

Walking alongside someone going from dreaming about homeownership to finally getting the keys never gets old. To top it off, she wrote me the sweetest thank you note and surprised me with homemade cookies.

Real estate is about so much more than houses. It’s about people, relationships, trust, and getting to guide someone during such an exciting milestone in life. So grateful for clients like this.

Some relationships become so much more than just a transaction… and this one is incredibly special to me.

This photo marks our 6th closing together. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping this amazing family through 3 homes and even a piece of vacant land. When we first met, their oldest was just a baby— and the youngest hadn’t even arrived yet. Now they’re in high school, and watching that growth has been such a gift.

Real estate is never just about houses. It’s about the lives lived inside them—the job changes, the growing families, the moves between cities, and all the moments in between.

I don’t take it lightly when someone trusts me again and again through those seasons. It’s something I’m deeply grateful for.

This is the part of what I do that I cherish most—walking alongside people over time, not just for a sale, but through life.

What a blessing this truly is. 💛

Some relationships in life quietly stand the test of time… and this one means more than I can fully put into words.
25 years ago, Ty and I had the privilege of helping a wonderful client purchase this home for his mother. I still remember him saying, “If I ever sell, I’ll call you.” It was simple, something you say flippantly. But this, this was sincere—and clearly, it mattered.
Over the years, we stayed in touch. Life moved forward, as it does. After his mother passed, he held onto the home as a rental, carrying the responsibility of caring for it and the investment he had made.
This March, 25 years later, he reached out. Ready to sell.
Sitting down together again after all these years felt less like a business meeting and more like picking up an old conversation. We talked through the details, worked together on pricing, and stepped into a very active spring market. A full weekend of showings and a busy Open House led to multiple offers, and together we navigated each step—through negotiations, inspections, and all the moving pieces along the way.
But the part that stays with me most wasn’t the strong offer or the smooth closing… It was him. A man who lived with integrity and honor.
At closing, his gratitude for the work I did, his kindness, and his trust after all these years—it’s something I don’t take for granted.
A promise made 25 years ago, remembered and honored.
These are the relationships that remind me why I do what I do. Not just transactions—but people, history, trust, and showing up for each other over time.
So incredibly grateful.

The GRAR Schoolhouse Fund is hosting a fundraiser at Koetsier’s Greenhouse, and it is such an easy and meaningful way to give back while enjoying something beautiful for your home or for Mother’s Day.
