A short walk to downtown and the town beach, it’s perfectly suited for a stress-free visit. It sits on a quiet street, the only sound being the sometime train whistle pulling into the nearby station. Steven will be taking on most of the construction work, while the kids and I will help with the demo, painting, landscaping and community relations. We hope to be available for rental Summer 2014. The name Lamorna was the name of my great-great-grandmother’s house (my mom Frances’ great granny). Her name was Mary Barnes and she lived in Birtley, New Castle, England. Mary named her house after the town she was from, Lamorna, which is in Cornwall. Frances has lovely memories of Lamorna’s picket fence and garden with neat things growing, a huge cozy fireplace, and the warm love of her Nana. Lamorna is named in memory of Mary and her loving home.
