As it starts to heat up, you’re probably going to be turning on that central AC. To ensure your AC is keeping you as cool as it should, please keep the following in mind:
We recommend keeping the temperature set between 70 - 75 degrees while you are home. You should NEVER set the temperature below 67 degrees; setting your AC too low can cause the unit to freeze over and damage the components.
Instead of turning off your AC when leaving for a few hours, it is best to increase the temperature (we suggest 78 - 80 degrees) and turn it back down when you return. Trust us, this is better for both the AC AND your electricity bill and it will help get your apartment to cool down faster than starting from scratch.
Keeping your home cool requires more than setting your thermostat, especially in upstairs units in direct sunlight. If your AC doesn’t seem to be cooling your whole space, try changing the air filter, closing the blinds/curtains, and turning on the fans to help circulate air throughout.
Contact the Leasing Office if you are noticing any issues or leaks right away!
