Spotting wildlife in the city is completely different than the types of wildlife you will spot in the country. If you're tired of the turkeys around town and desire a slower pace in life, small town living may have exactly what you're looking for and just a short drive away.
Close your eyes and imagine this: Sitting in a comfortable Adirondack chair on the back porch overlooking the back 40. Coffee steaming from the cup on the cool morning. Fog rising as the sun starts to peek over the treetops of the ridge. See them? The herd of 8 deer crossing the field, eating, meandering, yearlings dancing and playing. What's that noise? Sounds like a turkey. Gobble, Gobble. A beautiful fat Tom with a long beard comes into view, tail feathers on display. There's a female near and he's showing off his stuff! Birds are chirping, cattle are mooing, goats are bleating and the air is crisp and fresh. Suddenly, you realize you haven't heard the first 18 wheeler downshift, horn blow or tire skid. The stench of the city is not in your nostrils. You could spend all day sitting right here.
Oh, wait...you really can. Because you have moved out of the populated areas to a more rural location. Work from home. Run your own business. Start a farm. What every your heart desires, do it! The possibilities are endless and the potential is ripe.
If that wasn't your dream and you'd rather ride a four wheeler, kill a deer, catch a fish and haul some hay, you'd still be right at home. One thing for sure, there's no deer hunting in the city with the turkeys.
