The property owners, Mark and Denise, went out of his way to make my husband's birthday a great getaway. The house was perfect just for the both of us. The pool was relaxing. The location is great. We will definitely be back. Thanks Mark.

Garden House Delight!

We recently spent 3 nights in this adorable home. We easily rate this home 5 stars on every category. Clean, comfy, furniture and décor placed for total relaxation. The bed is amazing. Kitchen is stocked with all you need. The pool is clean and cool and loved hanging out. The yard is the cherry on top...beautiful! The best part is Mark and Denise Eshelman providing the best service and truly caring if you are enjoying their home!

We are Rockport locals who rented this perfect house for a staycation during our wedding weekend. The hosts were so gracious and kind. They went above and beyond with every detail. The house was so clean. The bed was very comfortable. The outdoor area is beautiful. We will definitely stay here again for future staycations.

Mark and Denise are very nice, accommodating hosts, everything was absolutely perfect for a much needed break away from big city and work, life. Our hosts attends to any needs that you may have, good recommendations and just overall a great hosts. You will love the quiet days in the lush garden with a pool, it is a quick walk to restaurants, the water and short drive to all that the area offers for fun and returning back to the garden house was blissful everyday. Comfy bed/mattress, great shower, fully equipped kitchen, great decorations, a nice fireplace and we did use the new Weber grill. Thanks Mark and Denise, I enjoyed meeting you and we look forward to returning back to the Gardenhouse to relax and visit with you! Ron and Julie L.

I can't say enough great things about this place. If you are looking for a beautiful and serene hideaway in Rockport or Fulton, this is the place to be. Mark is an amazing host with great attention to detail and guest comfort. He's super at communicating, answering any and all questions, and absolutely goes above and beyond to create a great guest experience.

As for the house, it's simply lovely. There's a great local history to the house as part of the compound of a famous Texas artist and his wife. The conversion of the house from artist's studio to elegant bungalow was done with tremendous attention to care and detail, and it makes for a very comfortable and relaxing home base for any activities you want to undertake in the Rockport/Fulton area. Only four blocks from the bayfront and many of the area's best restaurants, bars, and shops, the Garden House is in the heart of everything. Walk to dinner or cocktails, explore the bay and harbor, and then retreat back to your own sanctuary where you can relax by the pool or under the rustic pergola with its twinkling lights.

While the house is small, it's also thoughtfully designed and never feels at all cramped, especially thanks to the two sets of French doors and the many windows that overlook the lovely backyard. It's hard to ask for a better morning than to get a fresh mug of coffee from the Keurig, open the French doors, and relax on the comfortable white chairs on the small patio as you watch the sun come up.

All in all, a lovely weekend in Rockport, and I'll definitely return. Five stars for Mark and the Garden House!
