So, here's what happened ...

Selling a property through probate can be a complicated and emotional process for everyone involved, often taking much longer than anticipated. I was so grateful to have had the opportunity to help my client sell her co-op. Throughout the entire journey, I made sure to stay in touch with everyone—estate attorneys, real estate lawyers, and the buyer's agent—ensuring clear and consistent communication at every step. It was an honor to be there for my client every step of the way and bring the sale to a successful close.

So, here’s what happened ...

When my sister and brother-in-law decided to downsize, they started looking for a condo to rent. But then, an unexpected twist—the rental unit they fell in love with was taken off the market. The condo was everything they wanted: the perfect size, beautifully updated, and in their desired location. Disappointed, they began to look elsewhere, but could not forget about that beautiful condo. To their surprise, the condo soon became available again, but now as a For Sale By Owner.

Buying directly from an owner can come with its challenges. Without a real estate agent representing them, everything from negotiations to paperwork is handled directly by the seller. Without professional mediation, negotiations can become more personal, sometimes making things a little more intense. It is a delicate balance of being firm while keeping things professional and respectful. The key is to have the right professionals in your corner.
