Education day at the office 📚✨

Real estate contracts change—and staying educated is one of the ways I work to better serve and protect my clients.

Today I spent time reviewing the upcoming changes to Maryland real estate forms and contracts, including:

• Changes to how EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) is released when a contract is canceled
• Updates involving the deadline for the financing commitment letter
• Important information regarding audio recording during showings
• New lease requirements for properties on well water, including landlord responsibility for water testing every three years and remediation if the water does not pass testing

I’m glad I attended and had the opportunity to learn more about these changes before they take effect.
