đź’§ Water Conservation Update
Effective Saturday, August 1, 2026, the City of Rocky Mount will reduce its water conservation measures from Mandatory Stage 1 to Voluntary Stage 2 following improved water supply conditions resulting from recent rainfall.
While mandatory restrictions will no longer be in effect, residents, businesses, and wholesale customers are encouraged to continue using water wisely. Voluntary conservation helps protect our water supply, reduces treatment and pumping costs, and ensures adequate reserves are available during future periods of high demand or drought.
The City appreciates the cooperation and conservation efforts demonstrated by our community throughout the implementation of Mandatory Stage 1 Water Conservation. Your commitment, combined with improved weather conditions, has helped stabilize our water supply.
The Water Resources Department will continue to monitor reservoir levels, weather conditions, and system demand. If conditions change, the City will provide timely updates.
