No major renovation list. No pressure to spend a lot of money before you’ve even decided whether you’re ready to move.
Most advice about preparing a home for sale seems to be written for houses that are already nearly perfect. This is for homes people actually live in. The ones with scuffs down the hallway and a spare room closet where everything goes to be dealt with “later.” We all have one. 😂

Number three is the only decluttering system I’ve seen people consistently finish. And number four takes about 30 seconds, but it matters more than most sellers realize. Every showing begins with potential buyers standing on your front porch while their real estate agent opens the lockbox. That first impression starts before they ever walk through the door.
Painting is probably the home selling project people get wrong most often. Usually because they choose a paint color from a tiny sample under store lighting.
So I put together a guide with the six paint colors I actually use and recommend, including the names, paint codes and which rooms they work best in. I also included how to decide which rooms are worth painting before listing your home and which ones you can leave alone.
