Passing a home inspection in Bella Vista is so difficult, one state senator said he will propose changes in state law to bring some statewide consistency to the process.

"They go well beyond the intent of minimum needs, of what even Rogers or Springdale does, farther than with all the other cities, municipalities in our area," Sen. Joshua Bryant, R-Rogers, said of building inspections for Bella Vista homes during a recent interview. "And I've called to make sure, am I missing something? And literally, you can go into some cities and just turn in a little drawing."
