Exciting planning ahead for Downtown Lowell, AR!
As Northwest Arkansas continues to grow, thoughtful planning will play an important role in helping each of our NWA communities maintain their identity while preparing for what's ahead. The City of Lowell Arkansas is the newest NWA community to partner with ULI Northwest Arkansas through its Plan Local initiative. The partnership will bring together a multidisciplinary consultant team to help guide downtown master planning and explore opportunities for Lowell's future. It's encouraging to see communities across Northwest Arkansas being proactive about growth, creating plans that support development, connectivity, local businesses, housing, and a strong sense of place.

How Do We Add Housing in NW Arkansas Without Losing Our Community Character?
I just finished an great article by the Northwest Arkansas Council. The article highlights developer Monte Anderson, and his "incremental development" approach sounds ideal for our local communities. Instead of sprawling outward, he shows how we can revitalize aging shopping centers, older buildings, and underused spaces right in our existing footprints.
This strategy tackles:

NW Arkansas Housing Market: What The Numbers Are Telling Us -July’s numbers show a Northwest Arkansas housing market that remains active, but increasingly competitive for sellers.
