Attended the board meeting yesterday with CAR Chief Economist talking about 2023 Housing Market. Very informative with a lot of supporting data. So the good and bad news are: our local Real Estate market is still healthy with limited supply and strong demand. Though media price declined significantly based on the media( due to fewer sales on higher end properties), the average price per square footage didn’t feel as much. There might be some more adjustments, but it won’t crash like 2008. And the sooner the home buyer buys, the better he will start building equities. And guess what? The investors and second home market are still very hot! What does it mean?

The "Mansion Tax" goes into effect March 1st for Santa Monica and April 1st for the City of Los Angeles. Though most of us might not need to worry about just yet, but wonder will it affect the housing market in the long run?
