The opening of Matinecock Court this week was a celebration of persistence in the goal of adding more homes for Long Islanders.

During her remarks, Governor Kathy Hochul acknowledged Kevin Law, principal of TRITEC and chairman of Empire State Development. She said, "And I think about one of my best decisions was to ask Kevin Law to be the Chairman of Empire State Development. I wanted to send a message that I would bring in someone who is pro-business; who understood the power of state government to invest in projects, bring ideas to me; but also, I wanted Long Island to see that they had someone with a seat at the table in my administration that was influential."

We are proud to see Kevin's contributions acknowledged at such an important milestone.

We also extend our congratulations to Peter Florey and the team at D&F Development for successfully delivering a project first envisioned in 1978.

Some memories have a way of coming full circle. 🏗️

In the late ’90s, TRITEC Co-Presidents Kelley Heck and Jimmy Coughlan, Chief Operating Officer Meaghan Coughlan Treat, and Associate Vice President Shannon Coughlan grew up around TRITEC construction sites, playing in the dirt, and watching the company their family built take shape.

Today, their children are making some of those same memories.

It’s a special glimpse at a family legacy that has grown alongside TRITEC for more than 40 years, and a reminder that while much has changed over the decades, the connection between family and the work we do remains at the heart of who we are.

For 11 years, Del Fuego has been part of the energy, growth, and character of New Village at Patchogue and Downtown Patchogue.

As they close their doors, we want to thank the Del Fuego team for being part of New Village since its early days and for the role they played in Patchogue’s continued revitalization. Over the years, their restaurant became a familiar gathering place for residents, visitors, friends, and families alike.

Thank you to everyone at Del Fuego for 11 memorable years in the Patchogue community. We wish the entire team all the best in what comes next.

What goes into building a restaurant from the ground up? At Lucharitos at Station Yards, it meant bringing together everything from underground infrastructure to the finishing details that give the space its unmistakable character. 🏗️🌮

TRITEC Building Company managed the ground-up construction, including all underground utilities, a full commercial kitchen, custom millwork bar, walk-in cooler, Saltillo tile flooring, wood accents, exposed ductwork, decorative lighting, and the folding window that opens the restaurant to its outdoor bar.

The result is a space built for more than dining. Today, Lucharitos comes alive during concerts, holiday celebrations, and everyday gatherings, making it a natural extension of the Station Yards community.
